Betting and Depositing Disabled on JD and DD

Hi guys,

As some of you know and many of you are going to find out, we have determined that the best course of action following Canada's new regulations regarding 'online currency' ( read here  ) is to temporarily disable betting and depositing on both Just-Dice and Doge-Dice.

Doog and I are working on alternatives for the sites and will keep you posted as to all progress being made.

We recommend that you withdraw your coins from both sites and keep them safely in storage until such a time as we are once again open for business.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you, players, mods, investors and those who have just been active on chat. Without you, we'd not have enjoyed such a remarkable year together. We hope to see you all back again once we've had a chance to get our ducks in a row.

Doog is going to set the site up as a 'play coin' venue  until we have things sorted out. Please come and visit with us there, where we will try to remain active and available for questions and concerns.

    Nice to see that doog is working in let the users withdraw and the fact that you are giving this information will make users feel less panic, remember everybody that JD have a big investment and make every coin out from the cold storage to the hot wallet should not be an easy task.

    As tempting as it is to pocket the 0.04BTC in the rainjar, I'd rather not. SeuntjieBot and the rainjar will be operational as long as it has some funds to rain and the chat is there.

They would still have to register with FINTRAC if they serve Canadians.

      Maybe they should just block canadian IPs. This way nobody from canada could access "directly" and they wouldn't offer their service to canadians officially. Like netflix does for europe.

    Sorry for bothering, but I kind of made a mistake by not seeing the anouncement in time, so I sent some doge to my account and those obviously got stuck somewhere in the process, as they are niether in my wallet, nor on my account on your page.       This blog isn't the more expedite way to solve your issue you should try sending a support ticket. Go to the FAQ in JD or DD and search for the "How can I contact you?" link, there you can find the support email and send your issue directly to doog, in order of getting your problem solve

    I posted this on bitcointalk on June 16th, but it I think it is a good send off.

    I had an old time casino floor operator describe operations from the late 1980's before the mega casinos were built in Vegas. He said gambling is inherently stupid activity. A good gambling operation is inherently "high touch". He defined that as a place where you can go where there is a buzz of human activity, and people pay attention to you if you are a flea or a whale. The practice of ignoring fleas in present day gambling means that casinos are destroying their future. Sometimes fleas turn into whales. You shouldn't feel like you are being gouged by the house edge, so that Lady Luck has a chance with you. Also the owners should be an every day force, not someone you never see.

    So enthusiasm for JD is only partly because it is new and innovative. It is also a "high touch" operation, which is something classic. It's interesting that it would be online and not brick and mortar.

      doog took Doge-dice down for maintenance, you will be able to withdraw your dogecoins when the site go back on, be patience this can take another 1 hour or a little more. doge-dice will be up to let everybody withdraw

    Only the time will tell. They needs to understand well how the new law works especially because the law don't define very well what the "dealing with virtual currencies" means and for that the owners needs time to research, lawyers and bureaucratic paperwork (maybe, i don't know how the Canada gov works). Now the owners are mainly focused on get every user to withdraw for JD and DD.

      You need to contact support using the email address shown in the FAQ tab, search for the topic "How can I contact you?" there you can find the support mail. Notice that not to much people need to withdraw in JD, last time i asked, i heard the was less that 20 users that needed to withdraw so give some time to the owners to solve your issue. i don't know if you knew that already, i hope it helps.

      Send to doog the info of what old address you used if he is able to help he sure will do it, share that info only with JD legit support, and be patient after JD is suspended they can be busy doing other thing and don't see your support ticket as fast as you may wish.
